Yassine Bounou Extends Contract with Al Hilal Until 2028 After Stellar Form

Moroccan international goalkeeper Yassine Bounou has officially extended his contract with Saudi club Al Hilal until the summer of 2028, adding two more seasons to his current deal. The decision follows his outstanding performances, particularly during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, where he stood out as one of the tournament’s top goalkeepers.

During the tournament, Bounou made crucial saves—ten against Manchester City alone—earning widespread praise and reinforcing his status as a world-class shot-stopper. Since joining Al Hilal in the summer of 2023, he has played 92 matches, kept 36 clean sheets, and conceded 85 goals, helping the team secure four domestic and Gulf titles.

The new contract reportedly includes improved financial terms, such as a salary raise and performance-related bonuses, underlining Al Hilal’s confidence in Bounou’s abilities and leadership at the back.

This extension confirms Bounou’s continued presence as a key pillar in the squad, ensuring stability and experience in the club’s pursuit of more trophies in the coming seasons.
